Coral Creek Golf Course designed by Robin Nelson and opened in 1999, it is fitting that the last Hawaii course to open in the twentieth century. Coral Creek Golf Course was the first course in the state to utilize luxuriously durable and verdantly stunning Seashore Paspalum grass throughout the layout. With short rough and lack of grain on the putting surfaces (all you have to do is calculate line and speed)—it plays eminently fair. The course meanders through a wonderful series of holes evocative of the relatively level terrain and wind conditions of leeward Oahu. Occasional two- and even three-club winds are mitigated by the ingenious design. From a deep coral base spring four lakes, the largest of which, “Lake Nelson,” serves as the fore-buffer to the creative short par-4 12th hole the dazzling 3-par 10th hole featuring a 30 foot waterfall.
