Hawaii’s Oldest Food Festival Celebrates the Culture Behind Kona’s World Famous Cup of Coffee! Throughout the 10-day Festival, celebrate the harvest as Kona coffee farms offer a firsthand look at growing this world-famous crop, the coffee art scene fills with inspiration, and music and dance enrich cultural exchanges. Kona coffee and food events offer tastings, and hands-on cultural events help tell the story of Kona’s rich coffee history.

Schedule of Events:

10:00 am – 5:00 pm: Kona Coffee Cultural Festival Quilt Show

Coffee-themed works of art from local quilters on display express exceptional interpretations of Kona’s coffee heritage. Cast your vote for Viewers Choice awards.

Cost: $5 Festival Admission Button. Kids under 5 free

Location: Quilt Passions Quilt and Needlework Shop, 75-5706 Kuakini Hwy., Suite 112, Kailua Kona

5:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Intercultural Concert with Kaze No Ne (Electric Organists and Singers)

Performance by Kaze No Ne (Electric Organists and Singers). Okonomiyaki and other Japanese snack and garnishment items.

Cost: $5 Festival Admission Button. Kids under 5 free

6:00 pm – 9:00 pm: 3rd Annual Kona Coffee Barista Competition

Pacific Coffee Research, in collaboration with the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival, present the 3rd annual barista competition. Designed to bring our barista community together in a friendly, competitive and education experience.

Cost: $5 plus a $5 Festival Admission Button. Kids under 5 free
